OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry

This course introduces private sector personnel to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction safety and health principles. Topics include scope and application of OSHA construction standards. Special emphasis is placed on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Upon successful course completion, the student will receive an OSHA construction safety and health 30-hour course completion card.

Attendees who complete this course will be able to:

  • Find correct OSHA Standards in 29 CFR 1926
  • Identify common causes of accidents and fatalities in hazardous areas of construction
  • Identify abatement techniques for hazards found in construction

  • Copy of the OSH Act
  • Charts of the most frequently cited standards

Permit Required Confined Space Entry

This three-day course is designed to increase the student’s knowledge of hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry.

Topics include:

  • OSHA’s Required Confined Space Entry Standard,
  • Hazards Associated With Entry Procedures,
  • Personal Protective Equipment,
  • Ventilation And Purging Requirements,
  • Appropriate Atmosphere Testing Equipment And Related Limitations.
